And, despite being in Omnia, a theocratic country named after him, Om can only speak with a single one of his followers: a humble (if somewhat dense) melon-farmer named Brutha. Small Gods centers on the god Om, who winds up trapped inside the body of a tortoise. The Truth is about newspapers and the media, Going Postal is about a mail system, and so on. ![]() In classic sci-fi/fantasy form, Pratchett regularly uses the fantastic setting of the Discworld novels to examine modern-world issues. Just haven’t found a book I can really sink my teeth into lately– well, with the exception of the Lancer rulebook, but even that I only have the PDF so far and I probably won’t get around to running it ’til next year.īut hey, how about something light and witty and brilliantly written?
